This policy explains how [Legal company name] ("Sofoteros", "we") handles personal information when you visit sofoteros.com, use the admin application at admin.sofoteros.com, or visit a website hosted on Sofoteros.
Information we collect
- Account information: your email address, the business or organization name you give us, the sites you belong to and your role on each, and when you accepted our Terms and this policy.
- Content you add: the text and images you put on your website, including earlier saved versions (revision history), and who saved each version.
- Sign-in and security data: single-use sign-in links (stored only as a one-way hash, and deleted after use or 15 minutes), session records, and IP addresses used to prevent abuse such as repeated sign-in requests.
- Technical logs: our hosting provider records requests to our services and to hosted websites (including IP address, browser type, and pages requested) for security and troubleshooting.
How we use it
- to provide the Service: signing you in, saving and publishing your website, and letting your team collaborate;
- to send service emails such as sign-in links and team invitations;
- to keep the Service secure, prevent abuse, and troubleshoot problems;
- to comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.
Cookies
The admin application uses one strictly necessary cookie to keep you signed in. It lasts up to 14 days or until you sign out. We do not use analytics or advertising cookies on sofoteros.com or the admin application.
Who we share it with
- Microsoft Azure hosts our services, stores our data, and sends our emails as our service provider.
- Your team: members of a site can see each other's email addresses and roles, and who saved each revision.
- The public: anything you publish on your website is public.
- Authorities, when we are legally required to share information, or to protect people from harm or fraud.
Where it is stored
Your data is stored in Microsoft Azure data centers in [Azure region, e.g. East US 2, United States]. Hosted websites are delivered through Azure's global network.
How long we keep it
- Account information and content, including revision history, for as long as your account is active, and deleted within [30] days after you ask us to delete your account, except where we must keep it longer by law.
- Sign-in links for 15 minutes at most; sessions for up to 14 days.
- Security and request logs for up to 90 days.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To make a request, email [privacy@sofoteros.com]. We will respond within the time required by law.
Visitors to websites hosted on Sofoteros
Each website hosted on Sofoteros is run by its owner, who is responsible for its content and for any personal information collected through it. Hosted websites do not set cookies by default. Our hosting provider logs requests for security, as described above.
Children
The Service is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
Security
We use encryption in transit, access controls, managed identities instead of stored passwords or keys, and one-way hashing of sign-in and session tokens. No system is perfectly secure, and we will notify you of a breach affecting your information where the law requires.
Changes
When we make a material change to this policy we will update the version above and ask you to review it before continuing to use the Service.
